MINISTRY GUIDE
Called to Care
Called to Care is the lay caregiving ministry of First Church of Lombard, UCC. More than forty members of First Church have been trained and commissioned to provide quality pastoral care to our members when they are ill, hospitalized, homebound, in short-term rehab, or in almost any other kind of need, including grief, addictions, unemployment, divorce, “coming out,” and empty nesting. Care might include visits, providing transportation, referrals, respite care, or bringing meals. Confidentiality is a key part of this ministry.
If you need care, would like to participate in this ministry, or have any question about Called to Care, contact Rev. Jill Terpstra, at (630) 629-2630, ext. 213 or by clicking >HERE

Memorial Garden
…and the dust returns to the earth as it was,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Ecclesiastes 12:7
The Memorial Garden at First Church of Lombard, UCC, located at the south end of the Maple Street Chapel, is available for burial of the ashes of church members. The names of those interred there are memorialized on a wall in the church building near the Memorial Garden.
